My wife tolerates basketball. Barely. At my alma mater, basketball is religion. So sometimes she’s a hoops widow. But she enjoyed this fun movie. Want a feel-good Cinderella story about underdogs prevailing and dreams coming true? Try The Mighty Macs. I cheered, laughed, and applauded at this inspiring story of US collegiate basketball’s first-ever women’s national championship.

With student loan repayment receiving much attention, the crux of the issue is joblessness. The long duration of a poor US economy with near zero job growth is continuing to take a deepening toll on young adults. Faced with the highest joblessness since the end of World War II, young Americans are forced to deal with an increasingly limited number of opportunities for jobs and are delaying major financial and life decisions based on the economy - 27% say they will delay paying off student loans or other debt due to economic factors.

Here's the plot of the most popular movie in America: a brooding teen marries her vampire lover, whose family strikes an uneasy alliance with a jealous werewolf to protect the bride and the baby she's carrying. I had to find that summary online since I didn't see the latest installment of The Twilight saga, which apparently puts me in the minority.

Everyone knows that Mitt Romney is a Mormon, a fact that has provoked consternation among some evangelicals who would otherwise be predisposed to vote for him. But you may not know that he's also Hispanic.
The 2000 Census states that "the terms 'Hispanic' or 'Latino' refer to persons who trace their origin or descent to Mexico and other Spanish cultures. People who identify their origin as Hispanic or Latino may be of any race."
