The epic results are in for the USABookNews.com National “Best Books 2009” Awards and Moody Publishers/Lift Every Voice Books imprint is proud to announce we have a finalist. Coming Across Jordan by author Mabel Singletary has been chosen as a finalist for the children’s religious category. The book will be listed live on www.usabooknews.com for 6 months. Coming Across Jordan is a sweet story about two sixth graders, Kevin and Melanie who meet Jordan, a kindergarten student with autism, they become fast friends and discover that although Jordan is somewhat different, he is talented at drawing. Teaming up, Kevin and Jordan decide to paint a mural (which is really graffiti) on school’s property. In the process they learn, along with Melanie, that even when they put their hands to do something good, there are boundaries. The USABookNews.com is a premiere online magazine and review website for mainstream and independent publishing houses. On October 20, 2009 over 500 winners and finalist were announced in over 140 categories covering print and audio books published in late 2008 and 2009. |
