What was supposed to be the perfect vacation comes to a horrific crossroad for Detective David Ramsey (David A.R. White). Aboard a private yacht on the shimmering Sea of Cortez, his wife and friends suddenly disappear. During the investigation David’s Captain (Eric Roberts) discovers a link between underworld crime, the boat captain and its owner. Just as David begins to unravel the mystery, he is shocked to wake up and find out it was just a nightmare, or was it? Shot in a Yacht off the coast of Mexico, the backdrop of this end-times thriller is different than many more dark apocalyptic movies. A Los Angeles detective must deal with the disappearance of his wife (Andrea Logan White – also married in real life) and friends while vacationing on the yacht of a shady music promoter. Review Using similar production values as those in Groundhog Day, scenes repeat while David’s character learns more about God’s grace and redemption as the movie progresses. “We really wanted to lay out the steps of the Gospel using an action thriller,” White told Christian Press. “At the end of the day our goal was to create a clear evangelistic piece.” What seems to happen in many relationships, David’s wife comes to Christ first. David takes longer – needing more evidence of God’s plan. While the production values aren’t at the level of a major Hollywood film, this is a movie you can watch with your family and actually have significant issues to discuss. In the various beach scenes, the actors are tastefully dressed. David’s wife wears a one-piece swimsuit; a stark difference from the skimpy apparel one would see in a typical secular Hollywood movie. About Pure Flix Entertainment Pure Flix Entertainment is riding the wave of demand for faith-based films. It has also recently released Sarah’s Choice; a film about a young woman’s challenged of an unwanted pregnancy. Pure Flix is also in production of Jerusalem Countdown, based on John Hagee’s bestselling book. “We want to provide quality entertainment on a regular basis,” said White. “People can’t trust a lot of content, so we created a safe haven for people that want to see a God honoring movie.” White moved to California after graduating from high school in Meade, Kansas because he had a passion to start a faith-based studio. “I wanted to provide blatant evangelistic material,” said White. The son of a Mennonite pastor, White says his family was very conservative. “We did have TV and running water, but didn’t go to movies or do any dancing,” said White. White’s family has since moved to California and has helped on a few movie projects. Dove Approval: Yes, Dove Family-Approved (Suitable for all ages) Director: Michael Sinclair Starring: David A.R.
