Syndicated by Talk Radio Network, Savage is featured in over 300 markets around the country. The 15 year radio veteran was named by Talkers Magazine as having the third most listeners on talk radio (estimated around 8+ million) around the country. Last week, the popular talk show host further substantiated these doubts of the President’s commitment by chronicling the President’s past associations with radical leftists and his speeches aboard denouncing America’s greatness. Like many Americans and New Yorkers alike, the radio talk show host is also deeply troubled by Obama’s Justice Department allowing confessed 9/11 mastermind, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (KSM) to be tried in a New York City courtroom. It is expected that security expense for the upcoming trial will cost taxpayers in excess of $200 million dollars alone. By not prosecuting KSM as a foreign combatant in a military tribunal, Obama’s Attorney General (Eric Holder) has also created a potential series of legal problems for the federal government’s prosecution team. Savage, like many in talk radio, cannot understand why we are giving ‘Miranda’ rights to this foreign terrorist. KSM has previously confessed to being the mastermind of the plot that killed closed to 3,000 Americans in 2001. Now all that is up in the air. The case, if televised, would provide a public platform for the confessed mass murderer and his commitment to destroying our country. In another executive office policy shift, Obama’s operatives have decided not to use the phrase ‘war on terror’ because it might be offensive to some Islamic groups. A number of conservative groups and tea party activists believe the President’s lax policy in protecting our borders is further evidence that the executive office is not fully committed to protecting our borders and maximizing national safety. The recent Christmas day attempt to bomb an airliner in Detroit raises more doubts about the Administration’s commitment to protect Americans. It was learned recently that the bomber’s (Umar Farouk Abdulmatallab) father notified American authorities several weeks earlier in Nigeria that his son was ‘radicalized’ and could be a danger to our country. Abdulmatallab ended up buying a one way air ticket and paid for cash it. (All this data should have been a red flag to authorities). Perhaps the most disturbing revelation is that of the list our government maintains of 500,000+ suspected ‘terrorist’s worldwide, less than 1% are designated to be on the ‘no fly’ list (CNS news). Michael Savage and many of his listeners, including myself, are asking the President and his Department of Homeland Security chief - why?
