Eilat - Red Sea Jazz FestivalNew York - August 1, 2011: Jazz musicians and aficionados from Israel and around the world will converge on the seaside resort town of Eilat for the 25th annual Red Sea International Jazz Festival, August 21-24.

This year's festival will feature performances from more than 20 Israeli and international groups, including Eddie Palmieri Y La Perfecta II (US), Grégoire Maret (Switzerland) and the Gilad Abro Trio (Israel), among others. The festival will also include a screening of Cinema Jazz, a film comprised of festival performances from the past 25  years, and a photography exhibit showcasing some of the festival's greatest moments.

 

"The Red Sea International Jazz Festival is a highly anticipated event that will provide some additional excitement for travelers to Eilat this August," says Haim Gutin, Israel Commissioner for Tourism, North and South America. "And will create a unique atmosphere with outdoor jazz music performances amidst the majestic Red Sea landscape."

An annual highlight, the festival will also include open stages for both amateur and professional musicians, in addition to free midnight jam sessions around the pool of the Isrotel Yam Suf, adjacent to the Eilat port.
